Roto-Mix LLC announces the acquisition of FSI Fabrication, headquartered in Sunnyside, Wash. The combination of these two companies will further expand Roto-Mix product offering and presence in the feedlot, dairy and industrial markets. FSI’s manufacturing, engineering, marketing and administrative operations will continue at their facilities in Sunnyside, Wash. The day-to-day operations of FSI will continue to be managed by Bob and Dinah Curfman and their three sons, Silas, Bobby and Caleb. In addition to expanding their product offering, Roto-Mix will also capitalize on an increased presence in this northwest region to support and service current and future customers.
FSI Fabrication manufactures and distributes a wide selection of commercial cattle feeders and manure spreaders. Based on a similar modular platform, both series can be ordered with options to perform multiple functions in addition to their original function of feeding cattle or spreading bio-solids. For example, the bi-directional Commercial Feeder can instantly be converted by the operator to commodity hauling mode by unlocking the rear gate and reversing the floor chains from the standard control box. With the proper options, the feeder can also be utilized to bed free stalls. FSI spreaders can quickly stockpile at the end of a field by hydraulically raising the beater assembly via the control box. A quick-attach high side kit can be ordered to convert any FSI spreader to a silage hauler. Both the feeder and spreader utilize the unique FSI designed Ez-Adjust Floor Take Up system that makes re-tensioning the floor chains as simple as applying a few pumps from an everyday grease gun.
