Nex-Tech hosted this week’s Great Bend Chamber of Commerce Coffee at its Great Bend store, located at 3700 10th St. Sales Representative Rick Taylor talked about the company’s long-standing commitment as a technology and communication services provider.

Nex-Tech has been around for more than 74 years, and has been in the Great Bend community a little over 21 years. The company has invested millions of dollars into its fiber infrastructure in Great Bend.

“We’re committed to continuing business here in Great Bend, and we needed to put fiber in the ground to provide you with cutting-edge technology and the bandwidth that today’s world requires,” Taylor said.

The upcoming Tech Edge event on June 12 at Kansas Wesleyan in Salina features technology vendors, keynote speakers, and breakout sessions on AI, cyber-security and business operations.

"Whether you know it or not, everybody here uses AI in some fashion,” Taylor said.

The keynote speakers are Kyle Hanslovan, founder and CEO of Huntress Corporation, and Dan Adams, founder and chairman of New England Network Solutions. Before founding Huntress, Hanslovan was a hacker for the United States government and the NSA.
