Great Bend Chamber Coffee recap

Kimberly Becker with Move Your Mountain Coaching hosted Thursday’s Great Bend Chamber of Commerce Coffee.

Kimberly Becker aims to help people reach their full potential with her business, Move Your Mountain Coaching and Consulting.

“I collaborate with professionals to help them become the leaders they were meant to be,” Becker explained as she hosted the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce Coffee on Jan. 9.

In 2013, Becker founded the Central Kansas Dream Center and she served as CEO of that multi-faceted nonprofit for nine and a half years. But she felt she had reached a plateau in 2017 until she attended a workshop that changed her life.

“It challenged the way I was doing things, and it really made me do some internal reflection,” she said. “It was so profound for me that in 2018 I started a coaching school.”

In January of 2019 she started Move Your Mountain Coaching. She holds a Professional Certified Coaching level from the International Coaching Federation with 1,000 hours of coaching experience and is working toward a Master’s level, which requires 2,500 hours. She has expanded her client base globally, working with individuals from India, China, Canada and Australia as well as the U.S., but she still has local clients who take advantage of services such as her leadership program, a class on managing employees with challenging behaviors, and a 24-hour retreat for women. Her business also hosts monthly meet-ups for Kansas Leadership Center program alumni.

Services include individual coach; group and team coaching; and training, retreats and speaking engagements.

“When I first started, I wanted to just help the people around me, so I coached, mainly, people inside my organization and my team. It was such a profound ripple effect that I decided that everybody needs coaching. My hope and my passion is truly for people to walk out their full potential,” she said. “We all have dreams and visions and excitement for our future. Sometimes we just don’t know how to get from point A to point B.”

Coaching can help individuals, companies or communities on all levels, she said.

“When I sit in a consulting role, my role is to give information. When I sit in a coaching role, my role is to ask deep, provocative questions to unlock your potential, because I believe you have, inside of you, everything you need to walk out those dreams,” she said. “I love helping people be the best them.”

Move Your Mountain Coaching and Consulting has several upcoming programs, such as the “Elevate Your Leadership Experience,” in cooperation with the Golden Belt Community Foundation and the Chamber, on Jan. 21.
