Matt Mai’s experience in commercial arts and his specialized training combine to make him the go-to guy for vehicle wraps at Office Products Inc. (OPI).
Mai, a native of the Great Bend area, uses his skills in a number of specialties to transform a vehicle into a moving billboard. These specialties include graphic design, installation and application techniques, large-format printing and die-cut decals.
“Vehicle wraps and vinyl lettering have become extremely popular for local and area businesses,” Mai said. “Products and services offered by virtually any kind of company are promoted on highways and streets, as well as at special events.”
While advertising is the main advantage of vehicle wraps, Mai noted a fringe benefit.
“Business owners are realizing that our wraps help protect the body of the vehicle,” he explained. “The wrap protects against scratches, dings from rocks and damage from sunlight.”
Mai has worked for more than five years at OPI, which provided vehicle-wrap training through Lowen Certified in Hutchinson. Mai has earned the Lowen “certificate of completion for training.”
The local Vink family owns and operates OPI, along with Golden Belt Printing II. Mai serves both ventures.
“This is a great family to work with,” Mai said. “They understand the importance of customer service and continuing education for their employees.”
Jim Grabbe, OPI sales manager, noted that OPI is fortunate to have Mai on staff because of his design and graphic arts talents.
“These skills are crucial for our vehicle wraps,” Grabbe said.
“Anyone who is curious about the wrapping possibilities for company vehicles is encouraged to call on Matt. He understands advertising and can guide you through the whole process – from a basic idea to the design to the installation.”
OPI is located at 1204 Main in Great Bend; 516 Broadway in Larned; and 724 N. Main in Russell. The address for the Golden Belt Printing II office and plant is 1125 281 Bypass in Great Bend.
