Callahan takes charge of Great Bend American Family Insurance agency

American Family Insurance agent Frank Callahan Jr. announced he is now in charge of the Great Bend office, as well as his American Family office in Larned.

Frank Callahan Agency Inc. is located at 1925 10th St. in Great Bend and 512 Broadway St. in Larned.

Callahan has been with American Family Insurance for 23 years. When he started in February of 1988 he shared an office in Great Bend with Ray Tittel, and he moved the agency to Larned later that year. He was given the opportunity to run the Great Bend agency when MIke Boys retired on July 31.

"The staff for Great Bend remains the same," Callahan said. Great Bend employees are Brad Kuhn, Roberta Watts and Melissa Holguin.

Callahan and his wife TaWanna Callahan, along with Kevin Kramp and Linda Carl, work at the Larned office.

Earlier this year, Callahan was named Kansas Agent of the Year by American Family Insurance. He received the honor for outstanding sales during 2010.

American Family Insurance offers a full line of products, including home, auto, commercial, life, and farm/ranch insurance.

Shoppers walking down Main Street in Great Bend were able to experience different forms of art, ranging from ceramics, painting and wood crafting to metal sculpture and photography. Businesses provided complimentary alcohol to customers within their stores.
